We regret to announce the passing of our beloved father, John Aquilina, aged 78, who passed away peacefully this morning. His departure leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were deeply touched by his love, guidance, and unwavering presence throughout their lives.
John was a man whose life was defined by warmth, humility, and quiet strength. To his family, he was not only a father and grandfather but also a source of stability, wisdom, and unconditional love. His smiles, laughter, care, and the unmistakable charm in his eyes will remain forever etched in our memories. He had a rare ability to make those around him feel valued and secure, offering comfort simply through his presence.
He was deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Friends and family alike were drawn to his kind nature and genuine spirit. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or simply his steady companionship, John left an impression that time will not erase. His life was not measured by grand displays, but by the everyday moments of kindness and love he shared so freely.
To his children, he was a guiding light. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was a treasured storyteller, a gentle teacher, and a source of joy. His legacy lives on through the values he instilled—respect, compassion, and the importance of family above all else.
The funeral celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, 7th May 2026, at 8:30am at St. Helen’s Basilica, Triq is-Santwarju, Birkirkara. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, to honor a life so beautifully lived, and to say farewell to a man who meant so much to so many.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Puttinu Cares would be greatly appreciated, reflecting John’s generous spirit and his quiet desire to help others even beyond his lifetime.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in the love he gave so freely and the memories we will forever cherish. Rest in peace and watch over us, Papa. You will always remain in our hearts.
